THIS IS THE FINAL AND WHICH IDOL DID WE VOTE FOR?
This is the big question for fans of the American Idol show. Those of you that have been following the Hype know that the media is trying as hard as they can to make this into a moral debate. That is so typical of what CBS and NBC have been pushing on the American public for the last 18 months. This is still a singing competition and the real fans don't care if Adam is gay or not. Nor do they care if Kris is wearing a cross or not.
Kris is where he is because he can sing. He obviously won the votes of Allison's fan base and that put him over Danny. Now the comments by Rmain Setoodeh (Entertainment Writer for Newsweek) were just another attempt to pit gays against Christians. This kind of thing only takes away from the show. Kris and Adam both have said they want to be judged on talent and if you watch the show you know there has been no slant either way.
Last night neither artist owned the stage. Kris clearly had the better performance with the first song and Adam nailed the second song. The third song was not really fair as it was not a song that Kris could perform well but judging from the reactions of the judges, Kris may have done the better job. Simon would not even comment on Adam's performance. It is clear who the judges want to win.
Fortunately it is still up to the public. So this is any ones guess right now. Kris may be carrying a lot of Allison's votes. The talk about the results being fixed are just not credible. The voting system obviously has its flaws but to say that the network is fixing the results on purpose is poor judgement.
It will be an interesting show tonight but I can not imagine why they need two hours to tell us who the winner is.
It has been a fun competition to watch and the talent that has emerged because of the show is really a positive thing for all.

American Idol The Finale
TALE OF THE TAPE
Well I am surprised but I know many are not. I have to say the voting is indicative of the extra votes and where they shifted. I looks like Allison’s fans did not vote for Danny. I know this is a singing competition and all three are very different singers but all three are very talented. So what was the determining factor? There were definitely not more viewers. The rating show AI lost much to “LOST” no pun intended. So how did the number of votes double? You be the judge. Are people really voting that much more? Are you?
So what made Kris and Adam more of a favorite than Danny. There was a noticeable decline in his favorability over the last three weeks by the judges. They had Adam and Kris picked as the final two for some time. My guess is Adam Lambert and Kris Allen as different as they are in style they are linked in strategy. Their musical styles and strengths don’t mix that is why they were not paired in the duet, and their personalities could not be more opposite. What they do share is a common strategy to give the teacher what he wants.
The judges made it clear what they were looking for in season eight; performers who could take a song and make it their own. A lot of the singers took that advice from time to time, but no singers took the message more serious than Kris and Adam.
So what’s in the future for Danny. I see Danny making albums and maybe a few number one albums. He is a real talented singer and has the will to make it. So it is just a matter of him getting a good manager that will point him in the right direction. New clothes and Dance lessons would be a good start. But seriously he just needs to lighten up be a risk taker and he will do great things.
As for Adam I think he is going to win it. I also think he is going to be very successful. I really do not like his theatrical slant but he has taken what could be a weakness and really turned it into a strength. Adam is unique and talented and really that is what makes a star. I am sure people will be talking about some of his performances for years to come
Kris, I really like him but the rality of it is I do not think he has what it takes to make it in the long run. It is just my opinion for now but I see him having some songs in the top 20 for about the first year and then he is going to fizzle. Not as fast as Hicks but it will happen.

American Idol final 3 vote for who leaves tonight
OK so you must have watched the show last night. Wow was I surprised at the out-come. I know I am not the only one who is thinking this is the week when the one they (the judges) call the dark horse is sent home even though the performance is outstanding. So considering this we would say Kris Allen is going home, if only because that's what always happens, just think back to Kimberly Locke, Elliott Yamin and Melinda Doolittle.
After last nights performance I think we have to think things are going to be different. I mean just look at the performances. Lets just discount the songs chosen by the judges because I think all three performances were bad. I personally think the song Randy picked for Kris and the song Paula picked for Danny were just wrong, but maybe that is just me. I think that the Adam just mutilated the song Simon picked for him. I know if you watched the show you think well I am way off.
I did some checking around the net today and I do not think I am the only one with this opinion. The most interesting item I read was a survey ran on Yahoo today that asked who should be sent home. Surprisingly (not) the vote had 25% sending Danny home and 31% sending Kris home with a whopping 40 percent sending Adam home. the remainder could not decide. So at last check that was over 7000 people poled and although that is not a large percentage of the audience it is an indicator. Maybe things will change tonight.
I tend to agree with the pole. I thought Danny nailed his song and Kris also did a great job. Adam was up to his usual antics of screaming the song to show he has the pipes. Well that is not always the best choice sometimes you just need to sing the song the way it should be sung. It is my feeling that the judges are sending him down the wrong road telling Adam that he is a great rock and roll star. I think they are out of touch with what the average rocker likes. I know he has his fans but after last night I see a danger zone.
So what is your vote?

American Idol final 3 vote
This season we started out with much of the same in the primary auditions with people showing up just to get on television and then others who thought they had talent and just wanted a chance to be heard. Then there are the real talented ones, and we had plenty this season.
I was really surprised this season with the number of really good performers that were male instead of female. In fact I think two of the really good male performers did not make the top 13. I guess that is just spilt milk though.
Now with Allison Iraheta's elimination last week, We have three guys remaining in the top three. Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey. Although we have had an all female top three before in season three when Fantasia, Jasmine Trias and Diana DeGarmo in the finals this is the first time we have had three Males in the top three. I don't think you are surprised though because they in my opinion are the ones with the most tallent. An arguement can be made with Allison's last performance but this contest is not won with a good performance here and there. It is won with a performer having only a bad performance once in a while. Kris, I think edged her out with his personality and consistantly good performances. It is a matter of building your fan base over the last six weeks and he did that.
So who is going to be voted off this week. I think we all know it is going to be Kris. He is good but Danny and Adam have put on strong performances week after week and both I think have shown more personality then Kris.
So other than Allison’s elimination, this year’s top three is still one of the best as far as representing the most talented performers in the history of the show. Despite the performance of Danny and Kris last week. I am not sure what happened there. But it goes to show you that people did not vote on that one performance but instead looked at the overall performances. If you were just watching last week then Allison looked real strong. So other than last week none of the top three have had a truly bad performance and there have not been a lot of complaints about who has been eliminated. That doesn’t happen every year, as we all know.
Back to this week I think from what I am reading on the blogs it looks like Danny and Adam have been picked from early on as favorites in the finale. Although I really thought Danny Golkey's friend, Jamar Rogers would have made it at least to the top 13. I am not sure why he did not make it. I think if the audience had a say he would have made it. So now who do we think will make it to the end? My money is on Danny. What do you think
